Joan L. Edwards

Joan L. Edwards, 72, of Raymond, NH died peacefully at home on May 14, 2005. Joan was born on March 14, 1933 the daughter of the late Henry and Marion (Wallace) Leavitt. She was born and raised in Stoneham, MA where she attended local schools. Joan was a devoted homemaker and began her career after raising her family. She was a dedicated counselor at the Point After Club and Coppinger House in Lawrence, MA. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing bingo with her friends. Joan was well known for her sassiness and had a zest for life while living in the moment. Family members include; three sons, George Zanni of Hampton, NH, Thomas Edwards and his wife, Leslie, of Derry, NH and Keith Edwards of Raymond, NH; one daughter, Valerie Roy and her husband, Joe, of Athens, TN; seven grandchildren; one brother, Robert Leavitt of Reading, MA; and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services were held at the family lot in Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham, MA.
