Joan M. Johnson

Joan M. Johnson, 80, of Lowell, MA, passed away at High Pointe Hospice on May 29, 2021. Born in North Adams, MA on November 29, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Anita (Leclair) Folts and Omar Johnson.

Joan was raised in Lowell. Prior to retirement, she worked for Care Cleaners pressing clothing. Joan enjoyed being with family, playing cards, doing puzzles and riding on motorcycles. A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, family was paramount in her life. Joan will be remembered as a happy-go-lucky person with a heart of gold who was loved by everyone.

Joan is survived by her two daughters, Susan Brown and Patricia Dexter; her grandchildren, Krysten St. Louis, Jennifer, Justin, Brandon, Bryanna, Christopher, James and Timothy Brown, and Samantha Dexter; her sister, Lillian Lafleurrier; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her son, William Brown, and her sisters, Gloria Nadeau and Jeannine Vansalette.
