Joan Vincent

Nottingham – Joan Vincent, 48, of Raymond Road, Nottingham entered peace eternal on October 20, 2004 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. Joan was born in Pompton Plains, NJ to Paul Hagen and Janet VanDommelen. She lived in NJ until moving to Nottingham NH in 1970. She graduated from Raymond High School in 1974 and was employed in many different jobs throughout the years. She found those that provided an opportunity to serve others, such as Rockingham County Nursing Home and Sonshine Preschool and Daycare, to be the most satisfying. Not working, however, was the most fun! Joan was a member of the New Life Assembly of God in Raymond, NH for nineteen years. Some of her many interests included art, interior decorating, sewing, reading, crafts, writing short stories and poetry, long walks on the beach and hiking with her family. Joan was predeceased by her father, Paul Hagen, of Lakeworth, Fl. She is survived by her husband, Mark C. Vincent, of Nottingham, her son Mark R. Vincent of Candia, her daughter Danielle Valley of Raymond, and four grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Janet and Arthur Jenks of Nottingham, and three brothers: Paul Hagen of Bedford NH; Arthur P. Jenks of Nottingham, NH; and Wayne Jenks of Raymond, NH. Throughout her life Joan befriended many people and will be forever remembered by all. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 24’th at 11AM at the New Life Assembly of God, Route 156 in Raymond. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rockingham VNA & Hospice programs (137 Epping Road Exeter, NH 03833) or to the American Cancer Breast Awareness Program (ACS, The Gail Singer Memorial Bldg. 360 Route 101 Unit 8 Bedford, NH 03110).
