Joanne Mildred Gravell (Spaulding)

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Joanne Mildred Gravell (Spaulding), who left us on May 1, 2024, at the age of 73. A lifelong resident of Greenville, NH, Joanne succumbed to a brief illness, surrounded by the love of her family.

 A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Joanne’s presence brought warmth and joy to every occasion. Her passion for life was evident in her love for family gatherings, her delight in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s laughter, and her fondness for the serene beauty of the beach.

 Joanne is lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, James L. Gravell Sr.; her devoted children, Karen D. Gravell – Huckins and her husband Frank of Fitchburg, MA, and Michael G. Gravell and his wife Karney of Wilton, NH; her dear brother Robert Spaulding of WV; and her loving sister Susan Ashcroft of Greenville, NH. 

 She joins in eternal peace her late parents, Robert C. Spaulding and Blanche J. (LaPorte) Spaulding; her brothers George Spaulding, Richard R. Spaulding Sr., and Raymond R. Spaulding; her son James L. Gravell Jr.; her daughter, Lisa Gravell – Englehart; her grandsons Christopher Brinkley and Matthew Gravell; and her nephew Richard Spaulding Jr.

 We will gather to honor Joanne’s memory and celebrate a life well lived at a service to be held at a later date.  The family invites all who knew and loved her to join in reflection of the tenderness and affection she so freely bestowed upon us.
