Joanne C. King

Joanne C. King, 67, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Community Hospice House, in Merrimack, NH, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on September 21, 1953, in North Adams, MA, the daughter of Vincent and Barbara (Bailey) King. She went to the former St. Joseph’s Catholic School in North Adams, MA.
Prior to her retirement, Joanne was employed for 18 years at Fidelity Investments where she held the position of Annuity New Business Specialist, where she made many wonderful friends.
Joanne enjoyed flower gardening, vacationing at the beach, spending time laughing with family and friends, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Members of her family include her husband, Terence Morgan also of Merrimack, her daughter, Kelly Lafontaine, of Vernon, CT, her son David Lafontaine, of Pownal, VT her mother Barbara King of Clarksburg, MA, her brother Vincent King and his wife Jean also of Clarksburg, MA. Joanne also had four grandchildren, Adrien Bertoli, David Lafontaine, Jessica Altiery, Robert Altiery, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Joanne was predeceased by her father, Vincent King, her brother, Shaun King, and her daughter-in-law, Brandi Lafontaine.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 – 6:30PM at Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester, NH. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place on August 20th, 2021 in Clarksburg Cemetery, in Clarksburg, MA. A second memorial gathering will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10 AM at Flynn-Dagnoli, 521 West Main Street, North Adams, MA 01247 followed by a memorial service at 12:00PM.
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Joanne C. King.
