John Lincoln Bogle, at age 80, died on December 14th at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born April 16, 1927 in Boston, MA. He attended Boston University where he earned a Masters in English. He served in the United States Navy as hospital corpsman from 1945-1947. He grew up in White River Junction, VT and resided in the tri-town area for most of his life up until he moved to Merrimack NH to live with his son and family in 1996. He was a retired jeweler and worked for Amidon Jewelers in Hanover, NH. He attended the Milford United Methodist Church and was an active member of the choir. John is survived by two sons, Doug Bogle of Roseville CA, Rick Bogle of Merrimack NH and daughter, Melanie Paul of Merrimack NH, as well as nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. There will be a memorial service held at the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH on Friday December 21st at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MUMC Choir in memory of John.
