John Hilliard Cameron, 62 years of age died suddenly and unexpectedly on July 7th, 2017 at home in Portsmouth, NH, with his wife by his side. He was born on August 26th 1954 in Manchester, CT, the son of John Hilliard Cameron and Marguerite Helen Baldwin. He was the loving and devoted husband of Louise Beaulieu Cameron. They were married on August 16th, 1980 in New Haven CT, and had enjoyed many happy years together.

John grew up in East Hartford, CT, and attended Penney High. He graduated from University of Bridgeport where he received a bachelor's degree in fine arts, majoring in cinematography. John enjoyed a long and satisfying career in film and television, working in the Boston market many years as a location sound engineer under the name Alchemy Audio Group. More recently, he had been employed as a satellite transmission engineer for CBTV and then Liberty Uplink. Currently, John had been employed as a networking engineer for GTT.

John enjoyed many hobbies-he often said that hobbies are what makes us interesting. He was an amateur radio enthusiast, operating with an Extra Class license under the call sign N10WA and spent many happy times with the Framingham Amateur Radio Association as well as communicating with other hams worldwide. He was at one time an avid cyclist, achieving the goal of finishing the Mount Washington Hill Climb twice. He loved to travel with Louise and they enjoyed many wonderful trips to Europe. Several years ago, John and Louise purchased a small travel trailer and enjoyed taking trips all over the US, visiting family and experiencing the beauty of our national parks. John was a talented photographer who had put his camera down years ago but had recently taken the hobby up again and had been producing some wonderful photographs. John loved music and was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead enjoying many concerts with Louise, friends and family over the years.

His loving wife Louise, his son Myke, and daughter Betsy survive him. He was a devoted and doting husband and father and will be sorely missed. His sister-in-law, Anne Beaulieu, and his niece Nevaeh, also survive him.
