John Edward (“Eddie”) Doucette, 92, of Litchfield, NH, previously of Billerica, MA, slipped away peacefully on April 26, 2026. Born in Malden, MA on April 28, 1933. He was the son of the late Peter and Olive Doucette.
Beloved husband (59 years) of the late Norma Reddington Doucette. John served our country in the US Air Force spending time in Japan. He spent most of his life in Billerica and worked at The MITRE Corporation for 33 years until retirement. John was very active in his younger days participating in a variety of sports.
He loved to spend time golfing, fishing, and watching hummingbirds at his feeders. He and Norma would also take their monthly visits to Mohegan Sun to try their luck! He cherished his classic movies and was devasted to give up his cable box.
John is survived by his three daughters, Debra (Kenneth) Noel of Pepperell, MA, Rachel (Dean) Monoxelos of Litchfield, NH and Melissa (Mike) Clericuzio of Clinton, MA. Seven grandchildren, Ashleigh (Eddie) Barter, Christopher and Matthew Noel, Samantha and Nicole Monoxelos, Lacey and Cole Clericuzio. Four great grandchildren, Rowan Noel, Tyler and Kaila Barter, Matthew Noel, Jr. His brother-in-law Everett (Irene) Reddington. Many nieces and nephews. As well as his goddaughter Angela and his dear friend Jayna Doucette of Tewksbury.
Also predeceased by his sister Theresa (Henry) Imhoff, brothers Peter (Carol) Doucette, and Paul Doucette.
The family would like to thank the staff at All American Assisted Living Facility, Londonderry, NH and Brookhaven Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
