John Robert Huff Jr. died peacefully Tuesday morning at Concord Hospital after a short battle with an acute illness, surrounded by loving members of his family. He was 57.
John, who went by "Rob," was born November 4th, 1960, in Houston, the son of John Robert Huff Sr. He was raised by his father and stepmother, Eunice Randall.
Rob's childhood spanned the country, from Florida to California. He married his high school sweetheart, Suzanne Schweickhardt, in California in 1981. Their first child was born in 1982.
Rob loved playing sports with his family. When his children were young he would field them footballs and pitch them baseballs. He was a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Rob was an avid fan of all things Disney. The family's frequent vacations to Disney World were the source of many happy memories. When Rob was young, he visited Disney World the first year it opened. Every time he brought his family to Disney World, Rob was brought back to the best moments from his childhood and our best memories with him are from the "Happiest Place on Earth".
Rob was, most of all, dedicated to loving and caring for his family. At the time of his passing, he had twelve grandchildren, who referred to him as "Boompa". He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Suzanne, his children Courtney, Lindsey, Scott, Nathan, Samuel, Amy, Shannon, and Travis, and his step-mother, all of whom hill miss him greatly.
Rob, a lifelong Christian, was a congregant at Word of Life Fellowship in Concord. His celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 9th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family fundly.com/tough-huff. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is assisting the family with arrangements.
