John "Jack" H.
Warner
July 16, 1942 – April 6, 2026
John H. (Jack) Warner, 83, passed away peacefully at his Manchester, New Hampshire, home on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Jack was born July 16, 1942 in Concord, NH to the late Earl Warner and Mary Race Warner. He moved to Manchester at age 12 with his mother after the death of his father, where he resided for the rest of his life. He graduated from Central High School, studied art at the New England Art Institute in Boston and served in the National Guard.
He loved sports cars and was a member the Tappets Car Club in his teens, racing his Sunbeam Tiger at the New England Dragway.
Jack was most passionate about music, mostly rock and roll from the 1950s, but also folk, jazz, and contemporary music. He was a collector of 1950s records and memorabilia, with a special interest in bands from New Hampshire and especially Manchester, amassing one of the largest, most notable collections of 45 RPM records in New England. He connected with other enthusiasts all over the world who shared his passion for that music and he wrote articles about the 1950s rock and roll scene in New England for many publications. He also produced and released rockabilly music on his record label “Massabesic Records” as well as albums for different labels.
Jack is survived by his son, Ian Warner of Manchester, NH, his wife Sara Arnold Warner and their children Anakin Paige and Cleo Warner, as well as his son Miles Warner of Peterborough, NH, his wife Britta Ingraham Warner and their children Charles, Bowen, and George Warner and by his nephews Steve Warner of Keene, NH and Douglas Warner of So. China, ME, sons of Jack’s pre-deceased older brother Roland Warner.
He will also be missed by many others including many nephews, nieces, and good friends.
