John Lindblade

John R. Lindblade, 50, of 203 Loudon Road in Concord passed away on January 14, 2002 at Concord Hospital after a brief bout with cancer. Mr. Lindblade was born on June 4, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Eric N. Lindblade of Charleston, NH and the late Helene (Belger) Lindblade of Bethlehem, NH. He was the stepson of Brenda Lindblade of Charleston, NH. He graduated from the Mt. Hermon School in Northfield, MA and Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin where he was a member of Phi Epsilon Chi and ROTC. Mr. Lindblade served his country during the Vietnam Era as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Military Police and was a member of Pershing Rifles. Following his military service he was appointed to the Bellows Falls Vermont Police Dept. where he worked until 1985. He was employed by the State of New Hampshire Disability Determination Dept. for the previous 13 years. John was a former member of the Sugar Hill Fire Dept. and Franconia Lion's Club. He was also a member of the Flying Yankee Restoration Group in Glen, NH. He was the father of Timothy J. Lindblade of Sugar Hill, NH and Putney, VT; stepfather of Brandon R. and Amy Cooper of Pittsburgh, PA and Lori Larue of Westminister, VT; son of Eric (Brenda) Lindblade of Charleston, NH; brother of Carl (Dorothy) Lindblade of North Conway, NH, Marian L. (William) Gowan of Hendersonville, NC and Eric (Susan) Lindblade Jr. of Havelock, NC; and uncle to several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Bow Mills, NH with the Rev. Eric Lindblade Jr. and Rev. Anne Beach officiating. Burial will be at Boscawen Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Friday, January 18th at 11:00 AM.
