John Mario DeSantis Jr.

Danbury NH - John Mario DeSantis,Jr proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps passed away on the morning of August 29th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He was extremely proud of America and his service in the Marine Corps.

 Born July 16th 1948 to John M DeSantis, Sr and Rita (Cloutier) DeSantis he was the husband of Deborah(Ashton) DeSantis for 51 years. He graduated from Somerset High School in

1966 and joined the Marine Corps in July 1966 retiring in July 1986 with the rank of Gunnery Sgt. He served 18 months in Viet Nam was a Drill Instructor and named Marine of the year while serving in Adak,AK where he drove a dogsled team against other service members and "James Drury of the Virginian" where he won First place.

 He is survived by his wife Deborah (Ashton) of NH daughter Paige (DeSantis) Brubaker her husband Michael and children Ashley (Brubaker) Brown her husband Alan and Cody Brubaker and great grandchildren Mikaela, Arianna and Keira Brown. Son John M DeSantis Ill, his wife Lisa and grandsons Dylan and Derek of Massachusetts.Sister-in-law Pennie (Ashton) Dusio her husband Vincent brothers-in law-Robert and Clifford Ashton of MA. 

 Interment will be at the Veterans Cemetary in Boscowen, NH on Thursday Sept 12th at 12:00
