John W. Ness, 88, of Derry NH passed away on June 12, 2022, at Parkland Medical Center Derry, NH with his companion of 37 years Carolee Kane by his side. He was born on August 20, 1933, in Andover, MA. He was the son of Alexander and Helen (Corthell) Ness.

He attended Punchard High School in Andover, MA class of 1951. Served in the United States Army from 1958-1962. He was a Truck Driver for J.P. Stephen's and Frank C Meyers in Lawrence, MA for over 25 years until he retired.

John is survived by family members include companion Carolee Kane of 37 years; stepdaughter Krista Kane and her partner Allen Mooneyhan Sr.of Kingston, NH; a step-son Mark Kane of Alabama; four grandchildren, Christopher, Allen Jr., Quentin Mooneyhan and Karissa Kane; three great-grandchildren Kash, Ryder and Cj Mooneyhan; two nieces Sharon/Patrick Caskey and Carol Lane. Betty Wojciechowski and family.

He enjoyed watching all New England Team sports, especially the Red Sox. He was a loving companion, stepdad, grandfather, and great grandfather whose family was the center of his life. John will be profoundly missed by his family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing this remarkable man. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of friends and family members.

Honoring John's wishes his family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
