John Raby Sr of Boscawen passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday August 18, 2021. John was born June 17, 1960 in Nashua, NH, the son of Edward and Ada (St. Peter) Raby.
John was employed by Rivco Windows and Doors for the majority of his career. He also spent time working at Thirty Pines, then Laconia Refrigeration, and was most recently employed by Pembroke Pines Country Club. Marshall’s Firearms was the place he could likely be found outside of work-spending countless hours over many years talking guns
and sharing hunting stories.
He will always be remembered for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help out when needed. He was a family man who was very proud of his wife and children-he was happiest spending time with them. Some of John’s fondest
memories were from his time spent in the woods hunting with his son and many of
his closest friends. John was also a competitor on many dart teams over the
years where he met countless lifelong friends. He loved playing golf and going
to camp with family and friends. His love of music was evident through his
passion for drumming. He was a New England sports fan and was known as “Coach”
to so many youth athletes on the basketball court, soccer, baseball, and
softball fields. A real genuine person, John left an impression no matter where
he was.
John was predeceased by his mother Ada Raby, his stepmother Nita Raby and his in-laws John and Irene Wunderlich. John is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Penny Raby, his son John Raby Jr and fiance Shelby Bradford and his daughter Christine Migdal and husband Preston Migdal. John is also survived by his father Edward Raby, his
brother James Raby and husband Billy McGowan, his sister Joni Bowne and husband
Randy Bowne, his niece Ashley Bowne, and his sister-in-law Debra Rahmlow and
husband Wade Rahmlow. John is also survived by many friends that were
family.
