John H. Salo

John H. Salo, 79, of Claremont, died on April 21, 2004 at the Elliot Hospital. Mr. Salo was born on February 14, 1925 in Sunapee, the son of the late John and Alma (Carlson) Salo. Mr. Salo enjoyed of all types of gardening. He loved animals and had three dogs and many cats. Family members include; his wife of 30 years, Thalma R. (Magee) Salo; one son, John A. Salo of Kentucky; two daughters, Jonni Lynn Willis of Newport and Jean Blish of Newport; three step-sons, Daniel W. Leder, Sr. of Claremont, Gary Allen Leder of Warner, and Donald Lester Leder, Jr. of Maine; one step-daughter, Betty Lamery of Claremont; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister, Julie Litevich. There will be no services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110 or the American Heart Association, 20 Merrimack Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
