John P. Seymour, Jr.

John Peter Seymour, 66, died April 19, 2025, at Rochester Manor, Rochester, NH.

Born on November 15, 1958, in Little Falls, NY, he is the son of the late John Peter Seymour and Carole Eldridge Seymour. Raised and educated in Rollinsford, he enlisted in the US Army National Guard following graduation. An honorably discharged veteran, he proudly served his country from July 1976 to April 1994. In addition to his military service, John was employed as a machinist at Thompson Center Arms from 1995 until he retired in 2012.

A proud veteran, John was a Vietnam War enthusiast. Throughout his life, John found great comfort and strength in his Lutheran Christian Faith. An avid outdoorsman, John enjoyed hunting with rifles and bow hunting. He also liked to relax and watch science fiction programs. John will be remembered for his love of family and kind heart.

In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his son, John “Buddy” Seymour III; sister, Stephanie Seymour DeFalco. John is survived by his wife, Juanita Seymour, with whom he shared nearly 20 years of marriage; two daughters, Nairobi Seymour-Tallard and Victoria Ney; two sisters, Barbara Cromenes and Patricia Amdahl; his grandchildren, Keturah Schulz and Frederick Schulz, Gavyn Tallard, Andrew Ney, Hunter Peel, Emma Seymour and Brooke Seymour; and his great grandson, Kaiden Hatfield; and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: John’s life will be celebrated at Newtown Cemetery, Rollinsford, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend. Date and time will be announced at a later date.
