John R. Soucie, a resident of Raymond, NH died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Elliot Hospital in Manchester on Friday, April 25, 2014.
He was born in Brisbane, Australia on May 8, 1943 and was the son of the late Ralph and Doris (Byers) Soucie. John moved to Millinocket, Maine when he was two and was raised and educated in Lawrence Massachusetts. After graduation, John honorably served his nation by proudly enlisting in the Navy.
Before retiring from ChemFab in Merrimack, New Hampshire, John worked for many years at Malden Mills in Lawrence as a machinist. He was married to his wife, Mary Ann for 50 years and made his latest adopted home in Raymond, where they lived for the last 25 years.
John was a quiet, loving, hardworking man whose family was paramount in his life. He will be remembered by his loved ones as a good father and husband who loved the ocean and loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Morrison) Soucie of Raymond, his children Rhonda Roy from Raymond, John Soucie Jr. from Barnstead, NH, Scott (wife, Christine) Soucie from Auburn, NH, and Mark "Trev" Soucie from Raymond, his grandchildren Josha Soucie, Ryan Soucie, Kayla Soucie, Cara Soucie, and Peyton "P" Soucie, his brother Roger (wife Fran) Soucie from Methuen, MA, his sister Kathy (husband Dick) Duran, from Miami, Fla, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and very good friends. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sister Evelyn "Candy" Fitzpatrick and his grandson Brandon Soucie. Services: A life celebration will be held on Saturday May 3rd 9am to 11am at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire 243 Hanover St Manchester, NH. Interment will be private.
