After retirement Jr. moved to New England. Jr always loved the ocean and to be outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, gardening and a good bar-b-que. He was an excellent skeet shoot and fantastic at bowling. He took great pride in teaching his children and grandchildren how to use tools and how things worked. He was always offering a lending hand to help fix anything and everything. In the last few years he had taken a liking to puzzles. He was known to drop off completed and framed puzzles while some of his adult children were at work. It would give us all a good laugh. His heart was always in the right place. He lived a full and adventurous life in the Navy. Found in a notebook he wrote "Mom always said. 'If I moved away from the sea for a long period of time I would dry up and blow back toward the seas.' " May your anchor be tight and your compass stay true, fair winds and flowing seas. He will be missed by all.
