Joseph (Chick) G. Boisvert peacefully passed in his Manchester home July 31, 2018, after a long illness, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Born to William and Gertrude (Proulx) Boisvert on February 6, 1945, he is brother to Alfred Boisvert (pre-deceased), and Janet (Boisvert) Carter. He is survived by his wife, Nansi Boisvert, daughters Heidi Boisvert and Billie Jean Osgood, and grandsons Brendan and Gavin Osgood.
Joe was a graduate of St. Anthony High School and of SNHU. A Vietnam War veteran from 1965-7 (35th Artillery), he was a dedicated union member and letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for fifty years.
Loving husband and best friend to his wife, Joe was a devoted and involved father. An avid world traveler, a nurturing coach and loyal sports fan, he was also a lover of opera and the arts, who enjoyed being in nature, especially by the sea.
Family and friends will sorely miss his mischievous humor and laughter, kindness and generosity.
A celebration of Joe's very full life will occur in Kennebunk during September.
Memorial donations in Joe's memory can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Home Health & Hospice Care of Merrimack.
