Joseph E. Bonnier, 89, of 637 Loon Pond Road, Gilmanton, NH died on May 3, 2000 at his home after a brief illness. Mr. Bonnier was born on July 18, 1910 in New York, New York the son of the late Edmore and Florence Bonnier. He was self employed as a scrap metal dealer in Belmont, NH for many years. He served in the US Coast Guard during WW II and was the chief cook. He was a Merchant Marine and was also a member of the Laconia VFW. Family members include; his wife of over 50 years, Rita (Dionne) Bonnier; one son, Roger Bonnier of Plainsfield, NH; two daughters, Sheree Bonnier of Gilmanton and Denise Bonnier of Enfield, NH; and two grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2000 at 11:00 AM at Franklin Cemetery, 31 Thompson Park, Franklin.
