Joseph Chamberland Sr, passed away peacefully on July 15th, after a brief period of declining health. He was born February 1,1959, in Concord NH where he lived most of his life. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany.
Loving, father, son, husband, grandfather…He enjoyed time spent with his son, Joe and grandson, Samuel, they sealed the deal on life for him.
Joe was a quiet, patient man with a quick-witted sense of humor, opinionated, as well as stubborn. If you had a question, on any subject, Joe knew it, hence the nickname “google” given by his peers. He would argue his point until according to Joe, “I am exasperated, by their ignorance.”
He was known for his easy-going disposition and a generous spirit, willing to help others, even going out of his way. He didn’t see it that way though, he was just a kind, caring person.
He worked for 30 years, installing carpet and flooring, as well as painting houses. He also had a side job as a lumberjack.
He enjoyed activities/sports involving competition: cribbage player, pool league, darts, horseshoes, softball, golfing, as well as a proficient juggler and unicyclist. He enjoyed a cold glass of beer before, during and after.
He enjoyed trivia, avid science fiction reader, World of Warcraft player, rock music buff and the ocean.
Joe was an active member of the Concord/Epsom Elks 1210, volunteering regularly. He served on the Board of Trustees and was one of the founding members of the Concord/Epsom Elk’s Riders. He was well respected and a dedicated member. As you might have guessed, he excelled in any task given. He wore many hats -bartender, cook/omelet maker, maintenance, keeper of the keys.
Joe really didn’t have many regrets, he touched so many lives with his kindness, generosity, and pure unique Joe charm. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Ich liebe dich.
