Joseph F. Gregory of North Conway, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2025. He was born in Boston, MA on August 6, 1937, and grew up in Hyde Park, MA. Joe was proceeded in death by his parents, Archiline and Jennie (Morello) Gregory and his two brothers, Robert and Richard Gregory of Hyde Park, MA. This was a traditional Italian family of which he was very proud. He always bragged about his mother’s cooking and now his daughter’s.

Following graduation from Hyde Park High School, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served as a communication specialist for 37 years, receiving numerous awards. He retired in 1990 reaching the rank of Senior Master Sargent.

On November 9, 1984, Joe married his life partner, Catherine (Kate Coffey) Gregory and lived in North Kingstown, RI before moving to North Conway in 1987 to enjoy the skiing, hiking, and tennis with his best friend, Franklin. Once retired, Joe had a variety of part time jobs in the valley. He worked at North Conway Racket Club, The Conway Scenic Railroad, and the video store in Fryeburg. He also volunteered at the physical therapy department in Memorial Hospital. 

Following knee replacement surgery Joe and Kate relocated to Fort Myers, FL in 2007 and then returned home to North Conway in 2021.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kate, his daughter, Lisa and her husband, Dr. Roy Greenberg of Fernandina, FL and his two wonderful grandchildren, Gregory Molloy, stationed at Okinawa with the US Air Force and Logan Molloy from Decator, GA. He is also survived by his favorite cousin, Audry Mahoney of Atlanta, GA.

Farewell to a loving and supported father to Lisa, to a devoted, loving partner as a husband to Kate, and to a proud and caring grandfather to Gregory and Logan. 

The family would like to thank Hospice for the exceptional care provided by the caregivers: Kelly, Karie, Rachel, Debbie, Belinda, and Margaret.

A celebration of Joe’s life will take place at Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM followed by lunch at Zip’s at the Cranmore Mt. Resort located at 239 Skimobile Rd, North Conway, NH 03860.
