Joseph R. Lapointe

Joseph Roland Lapointe passed away peacefully on June 17, 2024. Born in Manchester on January 3, 1940, he was the son of Maurice and Marie (Huard) Lapointe. He graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1958 and from NH Technical Institute in 1961. 

Joseph joined the Air Force in 1962. He always spoke fondly of his tour in Thule, Greenland. He was honorably discharged in 1965.

Joe worked for Sanders Associates and the State of NH before starting his own electrical business in the 1980s. After retirement, he worked part time for Home Depot and enjoyed helping customers with their own electrical needs.

Joe is survived by his 2 daughters, Michelle Lapointe-Bernier of Penacook and Monique Lapointe and her partner Doug Roy of Franklin; his two grandsons, Owen and Quinn Bernier; son in law, Kyle Bernier and his wife Sheila; sister Diane Desmarais and her husband Roger; nieces, Nicole Lee and her husband Chris, and Kristen Desmarais; and many cousins.

He will remain in our hearts forever, may his memory be eternal.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 27th at 9:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 180 Loudon Rd, Concord. Interment will follow at 11:00am in The New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
