Joseph L. Noel, 80, passed away Monday, April 12th after a lengthy illness. Born in Bellchasse, Quebec, Canada, Mr. Noel became a citizen of the United States in 1946. He was a resident of Weare, NH and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 65. Mr. Noel served in the US Army during the Korean War where he attained the rank of Corporal. He was a former resident of Nashua where he worked for many years at J. F. McElwain and later, the Milford School District. He retired to Orlando, Florida for 19 years and returned to reside in Weare, New Hampshire 3 years ago. Mr. Noel is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Russell of Weare; Debbie Stancombe of Merrimack; and Kathy Levesque of Plum Island, MA; 6 grandchildren, Travis Tuck, Shannon Morin, Kari Stancombe, Michael Stancombe, Tim Levesque and Keith Levesque; a sister, Theresa Daniels of Nashua; a brother, Lorenzo Noel of Gulf Port, MS; and nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Reception on Friday, April 16th from 1:00 until 2:00 with a Memorial Service at 2:00 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
