It is with deep love that we announce the death of Joseph Emil (Joe) Perna at home on January 31, 2023.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Constance Murphy, and his son, Matthew Perna, of Dover, NH.
Joe was born on March 8, 1947 in Greenwich, CT to Angelina (Ange) Perna and Albert A. (Herb) Perna.
A graduate of St. Mary High School in Greenwich CT, Joe attended the University of Pennsylvania and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
He later graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Psychology and was a member of the Psi Chi honorary society.
Joe held numerous positions in the corporate sector in operations and human resources. He later consulted with Fortune 200 companies on “Factory of the Future” innovations, gainsharing rewards systems and human systems change.
In 2007 the family moved from Redding, CT to the Seacoast area and settled in Newfields, NH the following year.
Joe was able to pursue his lifelong passion for photography in the years following his retirement. He was a juried member of the New Hampshire Art Association, a member of the Professional Photographers of America, the New Hampshire Professional Photographers, and the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists.
He is survived by his brother, Michael; sister, Jane (Perna) Spezzano; nieces, Christine DeRosa and Shane Perna; nephews, Michael Jr. and Jason; and 6 great nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 18 at Alnoba, 24 Cottage Road, Kensington, NH. Lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joseph Perna may be made to: Dartmouth Hitchcock Health, Neurological Oncology Research Fund (ID# 23194), Medical and Healthcare Advancement, 1 Medical Center Drive (HB7070), Lebanon, NH 03756.
