Joseph P. Rebello, Sr., 81, of Boscawen, NH passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 following a brief illness.
Joseph was born in Bristol, RI on April 20, 1935 to Manuel and Mary (Correia) Rebello. He was educated in area schools and proudly served his country with the US Army in the 1950s. Joe was a longtime resident of Warren, RI where he raised his family and had a successful career as a self-employed general contractor before retiring to New Hampshire with his wife Shirley in 2007.
Joseph enjoyed staying active in retirement attending group exercise, dancing and socializing with friends. Joseph was happiest when he could spend time with his loving family and many grandchildren. He loved to travel and his greatest passion was time spent at the beach. His hobbies included tending to his lavish flower and vegetable gardens, as well as birdwatching and playing guitar up to his senior years. Joseph was always the life of the party and his positive outlook on life drew people to him, making it impossible for others not to like him. He was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Concord and a dedicated family man. Described by those closest to him as a man of integrity, Joseph felt that nothing was more important than his faith and the love of family.
