"God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best."
Joseph William Taylor, passed away unexpectedly after a courageous battle on Thursday, October 8th, 2020 in Lebanon, NH. He was surrounded by his family who will miss him forever.
Joe was born on the 3rd of May in Chicago, Illinois to mother, Phyllis and father, Joseph. He was raised by Phyllis and his grandmother, Frieda. After graduating from the University of Chicago, he went on to complete a Master's Degree at Loyola University Chicago. He married the love of his love, Cynthia Rachel Taylor on August 21st, 1981.
Joe brought so much joy and sunshine into the lives around him, it is impossible to put into words how loved he was. Those left to honor and cherish his memory are Cindy, his son, Joseph, his daughter, Danielle, daughter-in-law, Kirsten, son-in-law, Edward, brothers-in-law, Mike and Thom, grandson, Edward Joseph, his sister and loved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Phyllis, grandmother Frida, father-in-law, Henry, mother-in-law, Lora and nephew Cary.
Joe loved to go on excursions and road trips with Cindy and spend time with his children and extended family. He loved to coach and play baseball. Anyone that knew him thought of him as one of the kindest and most intelligent people they had ever met. A man of God and a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, he was always a voice of reason and always did the right thing. One of the Bible verses he lived by was "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Psalm 5:3
Due to COVID restrictions, a small private family service will take place to honor Joe until a proper Celebration of Life can be held with all those closest to him.
