Josephine "Dolly" Bianchi

Dolly was born in Barre, Vt. on February 17th, 1933. Daughter of Wencesalo and Carma Gomez. She attended Montpelier, Vt. High school in the class of 1952.
She was a graduate of Vt. Jr. College and was the Valedictorian for the class of '54. On April 23, 1955 she and John Bianchi also of Montpelier married and settled in Rotterdam NY where he was employed by GE at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. They had three sons Stephen and wife Theresa, David and wife Barbara and Robert and wife Karen. Stephen with Stephanie and Joseph – David with Kristin and Holly and Robert with son Jonathan.
She was an 11 year employee of the New Hampton School then retiring as Director of Alumni and Public Relations.
For many years Dolly was a homemaker caring for our family. She was an avid church person, on many committees and active in the Order of the Eastern Star. A 58 year member she served as Worthy Matron with husband John, later accepting the office of Grand Chaplin, later as Grand Marshal.
Dolly met the evil Dementia, Parkinson and Alzheimer diseases head on and did her best for nearly three years but succumbed to them on July 2, 2016 with husband John holding her beloved hand. God Bless the best friend and companion anyone could ever wish for.
Friends and Family are invited to celebrate Dolly's life at the Bristol United Church of Christ, 15 Church Street Bristol NH, on Saturday 7/23 at 10AM. Reception to follow at church.
Interment will take place on August 6th at Hope Cemetery in Vermont.
