JOSEPHINE "JO" (CESTODIO) CABRAL
CARROLL, NH – Josephine "Jo" (Cestodio) Cabral, age 85 passed away peacefully in her home on February 23, 2015, where she resided with her companion, Guy Jubinville for the past 20 years.
Jo was born in Swansea, MA on June 22, 1929, a daughter of Anton and Evelyn (Silvia) Cestodio. She graduated from Joseph Case High School in 1947. After college she worked for W.T. Desautels Insurance Agency, where she later became proprietor until she retired in 1959. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling around the U.S. but especially to Carroll/Twin Mountain where she purchased a summer home in 1977. Jo could be seen at many summer events around the community lending a helping hand. She loved to spend her time doing hand oil paintings. Jo is also well-known for her large collection of elephant figurines and memorabilia.
Jo enjoyed her retirement in her beautiful log cabin that she built with her loving companion, Guy. She also had a passion for gardening.
She was married to the late Walter Cabral from Swansea.
Surviving family members include her brother, Charlie Cestodio of Dighton, MA; and several nieces and nephews; She was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Mello, and brothers Frank Cestodio, Joseph Cestodio and Everett Cestodio.
At Josephine's request, there will be no visiting hours. I lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northwood's Home Health & Hospice, 278 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584.
