Josephine Jo Osburn

Josephine ''Jo'' Osburn, 72, of 6 Sunset Avenue, Amherst, NH died May 10, 2001, at Southern NH Regional Office, Nashua after a brief illness. She was born in Indiana Township, Pennsylvania on June 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Neel) Stepp and resided in Lexington, Ma., for many years, in East Wakefield, NH for five years and had been living in Amherst since 1994. Jo was a W.W. II Army Veteran and was an avid gardener. Family members include her husband of 36 years Hubert Osburn of Amherst, two step sons, Keith Osburn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Chris Osburn of Amherst, a step daughter Katherine Mathena of Indiannapolis, Indiana, nine step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins. At the request of Mrs. Osburn services will be private. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101 Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
