Judith A. Dodge, 57 of Concord and Swanzey, NH died on September 14th, 2018 from complications of Gastroparesis.
She was born in Franklin, NH on May 5th, 1961, daughter of Robert and Sandra (Clark) Dodge. She attended Swanzey schools, graduated from Monadnock Regional High School in 1979, attended Plymouth State College graduating with a B.S. in Elementary Education and got her Special Education certification from Keene State College. She pursued her Master's in Educational Administration at New England College and later her Associates in Nursing at New Hampshire Technical Institute.

Judy taught for many years and left the profession to work with mothers and their babies as a breastfeeding counselor at WIC. She was at WIC for 12 years and advanced in the field to become an IBCLC/lactation consultant. She had been in private practice for over ten years and served on the NH Breastfeeding Taskforce where she received an award in 2006. Her greatest source of comfort has always been her drawer filled with letters, notes, and cards from her breastfeeding mothers and her daughter, Meghan. Judy worked at Keene Day Care Center's ASEP program at Jonathan Daniel's school in Keene, NH and at Thayer Junior/Senior High School in Winchester, NH. She was a Special Education teacher at Merrimack Valley Middle school in Penacook, NH.

Survivors include her parents Robert and Sandra (Clark) Dodge, daughters Meghan of Concord, NH, Heather of Framingham, MA, and brother Richard and his partner Kimberlee of Swanzey, NH.

Judy has always been an active member of South Congregational Church serving as a Sunday school teacher, singing in the choir, as a member of the alter guild, and lastly as a member of the Lay Ministry Visitors. Judy was on the Riverbend Community Mental Health board of directors as well as The Children's Place and Parent Information Center's board. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and an active member of the Gastroparesis Community as an administrator in a GP Community Group.

A memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, September 23rd at 3:00 PM at the South Congregational Church in Concord, NH.
Judy has requested that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the YMCA Camp Nellie Huckins, Legacy Fund, 17 Camp Huckins Road, Freedom, NH 03836.
