Judith M. Houle, 62, of 255 John Tasker Road, Barnstead, died July 9 of a recurrence of breast cancer. Born on September 12, 1938, in Providence, R.I., to Louise and Albert Houle, Judy lost her mother at an early age and helped her father raise her three siblings. The family moved to Brentwood and then Exeter, N.H., where Judith graduated from Robinson Female Seminary/ Exeter High School in 1956. In her mid-fifties, Judy received her B.S. from New Hampshire College. During much of her early career Judy was involved in most facets of banking beginning as a teller at the Exeter Banking Co., to Operations Officer at New London Trust Co., Treasurer at Mountain Trust Co. of Stowe, VT, then on to Senior Systems Coordinator and Vice President of Indian Head Data Services of Nashua. She also worked as an Auditor and research/grant monies coordinator for the University System of New Hampshire in Durham. After college, Judy moved on to the business world teaching Accounting and Business Management at Thomas School of Business in Concord, acting as Administrative Assistant in Marketing for Newstress International in Epsom, selling craft supplies for The Quarry House in Milford, and finally opening and managing her own shop called Crafts, Plus in Concord.. For the past four years, Judy has worked as Auditor of the Abandoned Property Division for the Treasury Department of the State of New Hampshire in Concord. Mountain climbing was Judys love; she climbed in summer and winter from Machu Pichu in Peru to Treasurer/Hike Leader for the Appalachian Mountain Club. Gardening, tole painting, stenciling, and many other crafts filled her life. Family members include her loving companion of 20 years, Fred Goodrich, her three sisters: Carolyn Lilback of Fitzwilliam, Louise of East Falmouth, MA and Mary Rowe of Orlando, FL, and three neices and nephews: Carlotta Lilback of Fitzwilliam, Matti Lilback of Cheshire, CN and Keith Rowe of Kenneth City, FL.
