Judith Barbara Jacobson

Judith B. Jacobson Gundry (Aldrich)

Our beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother and aunt, Judith B. Jacobson Gundry (Aldrich), 79, of Winchester, NH, joined her loved ones in heaven on March 7, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on August 4, 1945, in Brattleboro, VT, to the late Edward Robert Aldrich and Barbara Florence Aldrich Howe (Metcalf), Judith attended Hinsdale High School in NH and worked at C&S Wholesale Grocers for sixteen years before retiring.

Judith was the heart of her home and family. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence P. Jacobson, who preceded her in 2008, and the late David E. Gundry, who passed away in 1984. Her life was marked by her dedication to her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with those around her and for the Lord.

She raised three children, Jody, Jeff, and Randy, in a happy and loving home, nurturing them to be independent and thoughtful adults. Judith appreciated her loyal and committed companion, Patty, her fur baby. She enjoyed the natural surroundings, engaging in activities such as gardening, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and outdoor campfires. She was a great cook and loved sharing her old-fashioned recipes with family and friends. Judith created an active, vibrant life for herself and was surrounded by a wonderful circle of family and friends, who reflected on all the love she put out into the world. In her later years, she loved spending time at her home in Winchester, NH.

Judith is survived by her children: Her daughter, Jody L. Weller, and her husband, Mark Weller, of Ocala, FL; her son, Jeff L. Porter, and his wife, Jhosie Porter, of Hinsdale, NH; and her son, Randy R. Porter, and his wife, Tammy Porter, of FL, and son by marriage, Karl Jacobson and his wife, Bianca, and their children, Alexander and Olivia, of Fitzwilliam, NH.

Judith is also survived by her brother, Sgt. Robert A. Aldrich, and his wife, Susie Aldrich, of NH. She was preceded in death by her brother Bernest Aldrich, her sister, Jean Clough (Aldrich), her grandson, Brandon L. Porter, her daughter by marriage, Anna Jacobson, and her niece, Pamela Clough.

Judith is also survived by her grandchildren: Sarah A. Waite and her children, Dylan and Raelynne, of Elberton, GA; Rebeccah M. Waite and her fiancé, Rick Long, and their children, Tatiana, Kayliana, and Dominic, of Broad Brook CT; Lawrence W. Weller and his wife, Kaitlin, and their children, Nathan and Miles, of Posen, MI; and her granddaughter, Aubrey L. Porter. She is also survived by her nephew, Kenneth Clough, and his wife, Isolde, of KS, and their children; her niece, Karen Clough Bjornseth, and her husband, Mark, of Grand Forks, ND, and their children and numerous relatives across the United States.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Meeting House Hill Cemetery in Brattleboro, VT on May 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM. A private Celebration of Life for family and close friends will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
