Judith P. Mason, 53, of 12 Cabot Drive, Nashua, NH died peacefully at home with her family on Tuesday evening, August 26, following a long and valiant fight with cancer. She remained in good spirits and thinking of others before herself to the very end. Judy was born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 6, 1950, to Rudolf E. (deceased) and Mona R. Spegele. Judy was a graduate of the University of Maryland and received her Master's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Following time out raising her daughters, Judy returned to her career and thoroughly enjoyed her work and friends at the Nashua Employment Security Division, State of NH. She enjoyed music and concerts of all types, having played the harp herself for many years. Traveling, family visits, hiking the trails of New Hampshire and cheering on her daughter's sports, music, color guard and other activities were a delight to Judy. She was a very special lady to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Mason, daughters Stacia Bartlett of Rockton, IL, Julia and Karlyn of the home, grandchildren Samantha, Joshua and Alexander Bartlett, mother Mona Spegele of Cape May Point, NJ, sisters Mona Hutchinson of Littleton, CO and Mary Imperato of North Plainfield, NJ, and brother R. Richard Spegele of New York City. Following a private family viewing and cremation at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire in Manchester, a Memorial Service and interment will be held on September 27 at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church in Cold Spring, NJ.
