EPSOM Julia B. Riddick, 84, died peacefully on October 17, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Associations Hospice House in Concord. Born in Nashua on July 5, 1921, she was the daughter of Bertha and Denis Trombly; and the wife of Murray B. Riddick of Epsom. Julia was a graduate of Lowell High School, Lowell, MA, and a member of the United States Navy stationed in Washington, DC, during WWII. She was also a mill worker for the United Elastic Company in Lowell for many years and then a braider for the Lowell Division of the General Electric Company. After moving to Epsom, she was employed as a custodian for Epsom Central School, Chichester Central School, and Quality Orthopedics Care in Concord. Julia enjoyed spending time with her family, who will all miss her immensely, including her three great-grandsons. She also enjoyed playing cards and shopping. Julia was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Tiger Woods. In addition to her husband, Julia is survived by her daughter, Judith Walsh of Epsom; her son Michael Balfe of Venice, FL; a sister, Rita Lafond of Nashua; three granddaughters, Shannon LeBlanc of Hooksett, Meghan Woodbury of Henniker, and Erin Walsh of Gilmanton; three great-grandsons, Reilly Woodbury, Taylor Woodbury, and Colin LeBlanc; as well as many nieces and nephews. Her parents; her brothers, Leo Trombly, Larry Trombly, Carl Trombly, and Clifton Trombly; three sisters, Leola Nadworny, Lucille Curtin, and Theresa Case predeceased Julia. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Reception will be held on Saturday, October 22nd from 11:00 until 12:00 PM with a Memorial Service at Noon at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Burial will be held on Monday at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, during a private ceremony.
