Julia M. Warley

Julia M. Warley, 87, of Peterborough died January 21, 2004 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Jaffrey after a period of declining health. Mrs. Warley was born on June 5, 1917 in Roxbury, MA, the daughter of the late Lauritz and Sophie (Muckenstrum) Jensen. She attended Hale High School in Massachusetts where she enjoyed track and basketball. She received her LPN degree from the Chicago School of Nursing. Mrs. Warley had worked at Whitney Homestead in Stow, MA for many years and was also employed as an industrial nurse at two Massachusetts factories. She had been a New Hampshire resident for the past 35 years and worked at New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Peterborough and then finally retired from Millopore Corporation in Jaffrey after many years. She loved to knit and read and was very active in the Rebekah's in Peterborough. Family members include; one son, Robert Koch of Stow, MA; one daughter, Barbara Colby of Peterborogh ugh; four grandchildren, Norman Koch and wife Leigh of CO, Wendy Koch of Stow, MA, David Koch of Stow, MA and Will and his wife Anastastia Colby of Rindge; three great-grandchildren; Toria Colby of Antrim, Linnea Colby of Antrim, and Avery Koch of CO. She was predeceased by her husband Bristow Warley. Memorial contributions can be made to the Monadnock Humane Society at 101 W. Swanzey Road in Swanzey, NH 03469. A Memorial Service and burial will take place in the spring in Stow, MA.
