Julie Garris

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Julie Garris, on March 23rd, 2025. A guiding light in our lives, she was born on September 5th, 1968 in Massachusetts and dedicated her life to nurturing her family and friends with boundless love.

Julie Garris was a remarkable woman whose kindness knew no bounds. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel special, make others happy before herself, often going out of her way to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Her laughter and humor could brighten even the darkest days, and her unwavering support inspired those fortunate enough to know her.

As a devoted mother, she instilled in us the values of compassion, resilience, and gratitude. She celebrated our successes, comforted us in times of sorrow, and taught us the importance of kindness and understanding. Her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth, and her love was the foundation that held our family together.

Beyond her role as a mother, Julie Estella Garris was a cherished friend, a sister of latter-day saint, community volunteer and source of wisdom to all who crossed her path. She had a unique gift for connecting with others, and she nurtured friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. We find solace in knowing that her spirit will forever be with us, guiding and watching over us.

Julie Estella Garris is survived by her husband Alfred Garris; Her children, Alicia Paasch (Brandon), Nathan Rice, and Collin Rice; her siblings Laura Lampes (Jim), Alan Prescott (Xiomara), Trudie + Trina Lakus, Rani Lakus (Gina), Gary Prescott (Christina), Aaron Lakus, Erik Lakus; her grandchildren Audrey Paasch, Hudson paasch, Bennett Paasch, several nieces and nephew and friends; predeceased by her father John Lakus who will carry her memory in their hearts always.

A celebration of her life will be held on the end of June at church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and all are welcome to join us in honoring the incredible woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to [Charity/Organization] in her name, reflecting her commitment to helping others.

Rest in peace, dear Julie Estella Garris. We love you beyond words and will miss you dearly.
