Julienne L. Byrd

Julienne Byrd of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away at the age of 95 on Friday, May 10th at Courville Nursing Home in Nashua. Although her time there was brief as a resident, she was liked especially for her frequent sense of humor and interactions with other residents.

Julienne Byrd, also known as Julie or Jackie, grew up in a large French Canadian family who resided in Greenville, N.H. She was the youngest of thirteen children and the last surviving child of David Lizotte and Emilia Paradis Lizotte. Jackie graduated from Nicolet Academy in Canada.

She leaves behind her four adult children, Monique Sullivan of Micco, Florida, Lorraine Arbore and her husband Michael of Londonderry, NH, Louis Duclos of Milford, N.H. and Claire Demetre of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, and a daughter Brenda who she was reunited with after a courageous adoption journey. Jackie also has eleven grandchildren who are scattered in all four corners of the U.S. but who have held their grandmother in high regard. She also has several great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren.

Jackie was married to the father of her children for sixteen years, Gerard Duclos and then later married Donald Byrd from Wilton, NH. Don and Jackie shared many adventures before he passed in 2007 and Jackie felt a huge loss with his passing. She lived for the last 15 years at Ahepha Manor in Nashua. She participated in many of the community's events. She enjoyed visits from her family, dinners out, crossword puzzles, bingo, playing piano, the Red Sox and most especially loved the Lord. In recent years, she would often express how eager she was for the Lord to take her home to heaven.

The family wants to thank everyone who have crossed paths with their mom and have shown understanding, care and love during her later years.

Services for Julienne will be announced at a later date.
