June Lessard

June Elaine (Burke) Lessard, age 98, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on July 24, 2022 at Hampton, NH.

June was born on May 14, 1924 and grew up in North Berwick, Maine, the daughter of Geneva (Muchmore) Perkins and James Burke. She was wife of the late William Henry Lessard. They were married on May 12, 1945.

June graduated from Spaulding High School, Rochester, NH and raised 5 children: Kathy Caithness, Dr. Jeffrey Lessard, Michelle Lessard RMT, Susan Marshall, and Jennifer Lessard- Chaudoin. June dearly loved her children and their spouses, Walter Caithness, Joseph Chaudoin, Jesse Marshall and Sharon Lessard. She had 10 grandchildren: Katie, Bill, Eryn, Heather, Rene, Nicholas, Joshua, Chantelle, Jesse, and Brian, as well as great grandchildren: Mason, Alise, Fletcher, Miles, Kaiden, Mackenzie, Cecilia, Brendan, Cole, Adalia, Madison, Riley and Elizabeth. June loved them all as well as many much-loved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

June lived a full life and was an active communicant of the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at Hampton. She enjoyed many years of service with the church as part of Our Lady’s Sodality, the Catholic Women’s Club and Stevens Ministries. She was also a long-time member of the Hampton Monday Club, which served the Hampton community.

June was an avid reader and card player, spending many precious times playing with her family. She thoroughly enjoyed being part of a bridge club, in which she loved her bridge “family” playing as much as she possibly could up to her 98th year! She touched many lives with her keen insights, intelligence, sense of humor, loving generous heart and will be greatly missed by so many. Services: The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 289 Lafayette Rd., Hampton, NH. June will be laid to rest beside her husband at High Street Cemetery, Hampton following the Mass. The family invites guests for fellowship and light refreshments following the services. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Hampton.
