Justin McCrady Wilson of Hampton, New Hampshire passed away peacefully at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on December 8, 2021 at 6:22P.M.
Justin was born on January 4, 1977 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire. He is the beloved son and only child of Donald Wilson and Kathy Wilson.
Justin attended St. Christopher School in Nashua and the Merrimack schools, Merrimack, NH. Justin then enrolled at Pivot Point International School of Fashion and Design in Chicago, Illinois, graduating with honors as a Certified Color/Make-up Artist and Licensed Esthetician.
Upon graduation, Justin had many offers, including Versace, but chose to begin his career at the prestigious Bannockburn Club in Chicago, being mentored by the eminent Lenny LaCour at the SPA de LaCour.
Justin performed his magic at weddings, photo shoots, magazine covers, and wrote articles with make-up tips such as “How to Get Out of the House in Seven Minutes”. Justin continued his career in Chicago at Bare Essentials, working with Leslie Blodgett on special projects such as the Grand Opening of their new location in Cancun.
After many years in Chicago, Justin returned home to New Hampshire and accepted a position at Sephora in Burlington, Massachusetts as their Lead Color/Make-up Artist, where he concluded his career due to illness.
Justin contracted Congestive Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy in 2018. Justin was admitted to Tufts Medical Center on April 19, 2020. He then had three open heart surgeries, each one being critical. He finally came home in May 2021 with an L-VAD in place. He remained home until August 11, 2021, when he was readmitted to Tufts Medical Center, due to his weakening heart, where he remained until his passing on December 8, 2021.
We were blessed as parents to have Justin home for three months because of the unique, professional, unsurpassed, miraculous care of the physicians and staff at Tufts Medical Center. He was visited by his aunt, uncle, family and friends, Kym, Stefano, Dan, Tara, Jill, Natalie, and hospital staff. He will be missed by all, including his friend, Matt
Justin was truly a Renaissance man; intelligent, with a great command of the English language, speaking French and a little bit of Yiddish, taught by his friend, Millie, while at the Bannockburn Club. Justin was an artist and an accomplished musician as well; professionally trained on the piano with preciseness. He possessed the uncanny ability to play any instrument given to him, saxophone, harmonica, violin, and guitar. More recently, he was learning to play the Japanese Shakuhachi Bamboo Flute. He enjoyed karaoke, winning several times in Chicago and at local venues. A great cook, Justin always experimented with new menus. A true lover of various cuisines, Justin always added the spices.
Justin also had the opportunity to travel extensively; Bermuda, Italy, Amsterdam, California, Cozumel, Cancun, Florida, and Nutbush, Tennessee.
Justin loved ALL music; Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Billie Holiday, Martha Wash, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, and Koko Taylor, to name a few. Jazz, Rock, the Blues, theatre, and movie themes, he loved it all. Music was his constant and ever-present pleasure, relief, and calming of all anxiety and pain.
Justin was a gentle, giving, caring soul who touched the hearts of everyone that knew him.
