Karen L. (Ver Sprill) Gerber passed away on January 10, 2018 after a long illness. She was born March 7, 1949 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Ray Ver Sprill and Jeannette (Nielsen) Ver Sprill.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years and high school sweetheart, Joseph Gerber of Boscawen, NH. Her two daughters, Jeannette Beckerdite with her husband Kevin Beckerdite of Brookfield MA and Elisabeth Gerber with her fiancée Jonathan Couture and son Wesley McManis of Charlotte, VT. Her brother, Robert Ver Sprill with his wife Sandi Ver Sprill of Andover, NJ and is predeceased by her sister, Cathy Voytac of Montville, NJ.
Speaking to her nature of caring for others, Karen spent the majority of her career as an administrative assistant for The American Red Cross and the Concord Public Library before retiring in 2013.
Karen possessed a loving spirit that brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew her. She loved the ocean and felt renewed every time she breathed in sea salted air. She loved to read, often finishing several books each month. She treasured time spent with her husband on the back deck planning vacations, talking about family or just rehashing the day. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
