Karin Muller

Karin Claire Kempter Grinnell Muller, (call me Kay, Mom, Gran, Aunt Kay or friend), had a life filled with joy and love which ended on March 13, 2025 at 3:33 PM. She was born in Olympia, WA and moved as a child to Quincy, MA. Her parents, Earl & Clara, with her brothers, Sherm & Gary, gave her a deep sense of family loyalty & a profound strength which she carried throughout her life. Her marriage to Robert Muller created a life of adventure that took her family all over the world with homes in New York, England, North Carolina, Belgium, France, Florida & Connecticut. Every time she landed, with 6 kids, 2 dogs and sometimes even Grandma, Kay made the new house a home. New culture, different language, schools, currency and friends- no problem. She always surrounded us with love and made it work. Her favorite place was at the beach: Sagamore, Wellfleet, North Carolina or Sanibel Island, she was happiest when she could gather her family and hear the sound of the waves. We sure did make a sandy, sun kissed, shell collecting mess but we all loved every minute.

Her children, Robert "Brick" Muller Jr and Doris, Kristine Nora Muller, Karolyn Muller Egbert and Rogers, John G. Muller, David S. Muller and Eric S. Muller, all knew they were her favorite. She had that way. She was filled with joy and hope for the future of her grandchildren, Megan and CJ, Amy and Nick, Brandon, Noah, Ryan, Colleen and the news of her first great grandchild, Lucas.

Her brother, Sherm, was her rock and their shared legacy was to cultivate a deep sense of belonging amongst their extended family which gives her children, nieces, nephews and their children, a circle of love that we can all count on and cherish. She firmly believed that family is what this life is about and she was so proud of us all. We will miss her dearly but as her brother, Gary, reminded us, she was promoted that day. The world is a better place because she was here.

It was Kay's wish to avoid the formalities of services and to encourage everyone to go sit at the beach and let the sounds fill you with peace- feel free to bring a glass of wine.
