KATHERINE L. LORETTE Katherine Lucile (Pierce) Lorette, age 88, went to be with our Heavenly Father and her beloved son on November 10, 2007, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Keene NH, on September 27, 1919, the daughter of the late Winfred and Myrtle (Patterson) Pierce. She married Joseph F. Lorette on July 2, 1938, and later divorced. Katherine worked for many years for the Western Union as an operator and also as manager. She also worked as a proofreader for the Book Press in Brattleboro, VT and for Financial Print in MI. Katherine had a great love for her family and friends. She had great faith in God. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching birds. She loved playing Bingo and ran the Bingo at the Senior Citizen Club in Keene, NH for many years. She was a member of the Eagles Club, in Brattleboro, VT for over 20 years. She will be deeply missed for her humor and loving heart. Katherine will be greatly missed by her daughters, Lorraine K. (Lorette) (Pruss) Gorton and husband Paul of Burlington, VT; Joanne F. Lorette of Keene NH. She leaves 3 loving grandchildren, whom she adored, Cynthia Marie (Pruss) Wright and her husband Bradley of Colchester, VT; John F. Pruss, Jr., and his fiancée, Heather, of St. Albans, VT; Joseph A. Pruss and his wife Teri, of Mancelona, MI; 8 great grandchildren, Christopher and Caitlyn Wright, Victoria, Sonja, Noah and Krystyna Pruss, Kyle and Alexandria Pruss, and a great-great grandson, Jaydon Rylee. 3 step grandchildren, Randy Gorton and wife Michelle, of Milton VT; Jeffrey Gorton and Fiancée Caryn of Colchester VT; and Kimberly Gorton and companion Ron of Richmond, VT; 11 Step great grandchildren, Melinda, Paul, Danielle, Allyssa, Tyler, Samantha, Elaina, Anthony, Alexandra, Billy and Alyssa, and a step great-great granddaughter, Savanah. She was predeceased by her son David Joseph Lorette in 2002; and by her 2 sisters Thelma Pierce and Freda (Pierce) White. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
