Kathleen Frost

On February 1st, 2023, Kathleen Frost (née Plona), loving mother of two and talented mental health counselor, passed away at the age of 66. She was born in Newburgh, NY on February 21, 1956, to Geraldine Fracasse and Chester Plona. She was predeceased by her parents, stepfather Clinton Burke, and brother Bobby Plona.

A life-long learner, Kathy held two Masters degrees in Counseling Psychology and Organizational Management (Colgate University, 1983, and Antioch Graduate School, 1999) and a CAGS in counseling (Rivier College, 2011); she was a passionate advocateof mental health, and dedicated her life to helping those who needed it most. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting buttons, spending time with her children, and watching British mysteries and PBS kids shows. An avid animal lover, she enjoyed bird watching, pomeranians, and spoiling her cats.

She is survived by her two children, Greta and Matthew, her brother, Michael Plona, and her former husband, Ben Frost.
