Kathy A. Staples

Kathy Staples, a strong-willed and beloved woman, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at 2:05pm. Born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom, Kathy was known for her unwavering spirit, keen intellect, and fierce love for her many family members and friends.

Born on May 22, 1970, in Newport, VT, Kathy was the daughter of Warren "Stubby" Staples and Phyllis Haggett Staples. Kathy is predeceased by her parents but is survived by her loving son, Riley Worth, as well as her sister, Jennifer Vallance, and her four brothers, Tim Staples, Tony Staples, Mike Staples, and Paul Staples.

Kathy was a woman of great strength and resilience. She faced life's challenges with courage and determination, always finding a way to persevere. She was a cancer survivor and wore that badge proudly. Her family and friends will remember her as a beautiful, strong, compassionate soul who was always there for those close to her.

There is no memorial service per Kathy's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vermont Food Bank located in Newport, VT.
