Keith Alan McClain left this world on October 15, 2024 at the age of 70 to join our Father in Heaven and his beloved wife of 30 years, Donna McClain. In his final days, he was surrounded by his loving children, his dog Bella, his girlfriend Liliy, and his favorite music of Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson.
Born on May 3, 1954, Keith lived a full life defined by his love for his family, a hard work ethic, and devotion to God. Keith and his soulmate, Donna, raised their three children in California and New Hampshire, although Keith never lost touch with his Jersey roots. He spent the years with his family helping to coach the kids’ sports teams, educating them on classic rock, putting up with pictures when asked, and schooling everyone on card games. Keith’s favorite memories were family barbecues where he excelled as Master of the Grill, Corn Hole Champ, and Music Maestro.
Keith filled his life with a wide variety of experiences and stories, from weekly golf rounds that always began with Fireball on the first tee to having breakfast with George Foreman to skipping school to stand front row at a Rolling Stones concert. Keith began his life in Camden, New Jersey before moving to the Los Angeles area in high school, where after attending UCLA and some adventures in truck driving, he began his long career in coffee sales. After retirement, Keith was able to pursue his passions fully as an avid golfer (2020 Men's Senior League Champion at Candia Woods), college football fanatic, concert goer, and coffee snob.
Keith is survived by his three children, their significant others, and close friends considered family: Katie & Malachi Hicks of Derry, NH; Sam & Alex McClain of Milton, MA; Brenna McClain & Brian Pupel of Boston, MA; friends Bobby & Riley Jones of Baltimore, MD; and Liliy Lacroix of Amherst, NH. Keith is also survived by his two granddaughters who will greatly miss their Big Dawg, Harlowe Donna Hicks & Isabel “Izzie” McClain.
Keith will be remembered for his infamous stories, wise cracking humor, and love for his family. His family will miss him dearly but are happy to know he is able to rejoin his wife Donna in Heaven. We will continue to celebrate Big Dawg with annual football trips & big 4th of July bashes where he will join us in spirit.
