Kelly Martin Kindl, 61, of Goffstown, NH, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Catholic Medical Center following a brief battle with lung cancer.
Born on June 17, 1960 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Joan (Sirovica) Kindl. Kelly was an Air Force brat from birth until his father's retirement in 1973. His family was stationed all over the U.S., as well as Japan and Germany, where Kelly had his fondest memories. They spent many summers at the family camp at Sacandaga Lake. He graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1978, moving to Manchester, NH where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1980 until his retirement in April of this year.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Robert Jr.
Kelly is survived by two children, Zachary Adam Kindl and Kaitlyn Michele Kindl and his ex-wife, Sheila Poirier Kindl, all of Manchester, NH; three brothers, Alan (Terri) of Saratoga Springs, James (Patricia) of Gansevoort, NY, and Paul of Gansevoort, NY. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to Kelly's beloved friends, Ruth and John Reynolds.
Kelly had his regular stops - visiting his friends and local establishments, where everyone knew him by name. Grand Slam, in particular, was one of his daily favorites. Though he never owned a motorcycle, he made the annual trek to Laconia for motorcycle week and also enjoyed going to antique car shows. Kelly was a simple guy, who lived a simple life.
There will be no calling hours and a graveside memorial service will be held on Friday September 17 at 11:00 AM at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH. Family and friends of Kelly are welcome to attend. Charitable gifts may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
