After High School, Ken went to college and then en-listed in the Airforce, where he spent 4 years working in the weather department, something that he loved and spoke about often. After his time in the Airforce, Ken embarked on a career in Engineering. He went on to work for Raytheon as a Mechanical Engineer for 30+ years until he retired with Raytheon in 1998. His longtime Career at Raytheon earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike. Ken's dedication to his profession was only surpassed by his commitment to Family.

Known for Everything having to do with baseball, (in particular, his beloved Boston Red Sox), Ken found joy being a catcher when he was younger playing with his “pals”, and now as a Grampa, attending his grandson’s baseball games and telling them stories or giving them pointers. Ken also had a love of camping and in his earlier years, he had a seasonal campsite in Wells, Maine where he and his wife Margaret would have their kids visit with the grandkids and enjoy camping and family time with them. He also had a love for cats, having had 2 cats in his golden years, Dusty and Midnight. Finally, he was known for being a bit of a wine connoisseur. He loved getting different types of wine as a gift, and he enjoyed a nice glass of Port wine after dinner.
