Kenneth G. Sargent

Ken Sargent aged 70 years of Bedford New Hampshire, died peacefully after a long period of declining health.

Ken was born in Lynn MA, on February 18th, 1951 to George and Ethel Sargent. He was a Graduate of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where he attained a Master of Theology. He then worked as a flowmeter technician with General Electric and later Ametek Aerospace in Wilmington MA where he designed, calibrated and repaired precision aerospace sensors for military aircraft. He was also an active member and elder of the Austin Square Baptist Church fellowship in Lynn MA, where he devoted his energies to spreading the gospel and teaching the ways of Christ.

Ken was an avid photographer, traveling all throughout New England to capture the limitless beauty of the New England coast. He also had a passion for model building, painting, and small electronics repair all of which were perfectly suited to his meticulous nature. Additionally, Ken was a very devoted and loving father to his three children Peter, Rachel, and Timothy, in which he instilled many of the same interests with the same degree of fervor. Ultimately though, Ken was an ardent follower of Christ, who was committed to spreading the gospels so that others may discover the same solace, comfort and love in God's word that Ken so felt in his heart.

Ken is survived by his three children Peter, Rachel and Timothy; five grandchildren Amaru, Navaughn, Sonya, Ione, and Emersen; former spouse Mary Orr-Gordon; and countless loving friends. Ken was predeceased his sister Barbara Steeves and survived by his brother Donald Sargent and sister Stephanie Bussiere.

Services will be held at Cremation Society of New Hampshire at 243 Hanover St. in Manchester NH at 10am on Sunday March 28th, followed by an internment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Garden at 185 Lake St. Peabody MA at 10am on Monday March 29th. Family and friends are invited to attend.
