Kevin Dellapenta, formerly of Vestal, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Thelma Dellapenta and his wife, Elizabeth (Kozlowski). He is survived by his daughter, Ericka Babineau (Jeffrey), his sister, Michelle Ames (Jonathan), 3 grandsons, a niece and a nephew, and a great niece and great nephew.
Kevin was a graduate of Vestal High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He was a gifted artist. He worked in a number of media including drawing, painting, and sculpture. His illustrations were used on a marketed music CD cover. Some of his most impressive works were of animals, landscapes and fantastical worlds but the thing he loved most was creating comics and comic strips. Kevin was a model train enthusiast who collected and created unique model train paraphernalia. He spent a lifetime collecting toy die cast cars, action figures, and comic books.
It was by a coincidence, several months after it occurred, that the family learned of his passing, therefore, the family is actively seeking details of his life and death around the time of his passing. Please contact his family with any useful information at 4mybroinfo@gmail.com.
Kevin loved animals, especially dogs; he couldn’t tolerate any form of entertainment that portrayed animal suffering. There will be no services but in Kevin’s honor, consider donating to your favorite animal rescue organization.
Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Manchester.
